Greetings,
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I spent some quality time with my parents back home. I sure am thankful for their love & support throughout my 29 years of life. It was great helping my dad build something new for my hometown church. He made a new altar for the tabernacle. I wish I had his craftsmanship with wood. After further contemplating things, I realized that I have a unique craftsmanship of my own. I specialize in crafting unique fitness strategies, instead of wood creations. Its why I've decided to unleash & release my latest fitness strategy creation, The S.T.A.R. System. I originally wanted to do this in January, but I realized there's no better time than the present to launch this new system, because I feel it will help my clients out so much. Why should my clients have to wait for a new successful strategy? They deserve to have the best! The STAR System is just that! The STAR System is a monthly (4 week) training service for my personal training clients. You'll have to check out the site, http://star.speeddialcoach.com, to see all the details on this. For those currently on my training packages, I will be phasing these out over the next month or two. The Morning Boot Camps are unaffected by this. Only the All-Star Fitness & Boot Camp Xpress packages are going to be cut in January. You haven't lost any training sessions, just to let you know! When your current package is up, you will then have the new STAR System to choose for your training needs. Call me if you have any questions about this change.

Local Trainer Creates New Strategy to Help Avoid "Fitness Fumbles" During Holidays
Thief River Falls, MN - From Thanksgiving through New Year's, the average American will gain roughly 5 to 7 extra pounds throughout this period. Area fitness coach, Rick Karboviak, sees some common mistakes among clients who visit with him after this yearly rush of food fests and parties. Many of them tend to forget about trying to watch calorie intake, and forego their original intentions of trying to cut down on sweets and other extras at such gatherings. Many simply give up on fitness regimens in general, citing they are too busy, when in fact, most of them aren't making it a priority.
Going through the "yo-yo" process of exercising will also put your health at high risk, Karboviak mentions. Just as people will start & stop with diets, often called the "yo-yo" effect, they will also start & stop with fitness routines. Karboviak recommends that people avoid falling into the trap of following a program from a book or magazine."Those suggested programs are misleading, and cause many people to fail within a few weeks of starting. They find out that they can't fit their lifestyle around a pre-set program." A solution to avoiding such a stop & go fitness behavior is to first consult with a fitness professional, who can guide the person through a strategy-building process of time management. "One of the biggest failures is time management of workout time throughout the day and workout frequency each week. By discovering that fitness is a day to day process, you can focus more easily on your workouts, and not be discouraged by missing out on a pre-planned workout from an article."
Karboviak adds that it all comes down to your exercise strategy, not just your program. People fail the strategy first, before they fail any program. Workout strategies may include purchasing a home gym, joining a club, or receiving personal instruction through personal training. Karboviak mentions that one's education of fitness concepts is the first key in determining which avenue is best for you. If you are poor in education regarding fitness terminology and the types of exercise used, getting a fitness professional's instruction and advice through personal visits is one positive strategy to take. If one is self-studied and understands basic fitness concepts regarding strengthening and cardiovascular exercise, joining a gym or purchasing some home gym equipment may be suitable. When one purchases a treadmill or joins a gym, without knowing anything about fitness, it is akin to buying a car without a license or the education to drive it, Karboviak says.
Karboviak has created a new training system that incorporates a new strategy-building approach to help avoid such fitness pitfalls. His new "S.T.A.R. System" for fitness training is the approach he uses, instead of the traditional personal training one-on-one focus. S.T.A.R. stands for Simple Training Achieves Results. He has learned that a new personal training structure of small group, but individualized training sessions, can benefit the client more. Each client has an unlimited number of sessions to complete each month (a 4 week period) based on their own unique needs. Clients may train multiple times per month, and not have to be concerned with a set number of visits, which is common with most personal training services across the country. "When people purchase a certain number of visits, they often lose track and forget, and that leads to putting off workouts, and ultimately, feeling like they have failed yet again. It's a shift in the personal training field that needs to take place, and small group, unlimited training is the new solution that works. It also continually educates the individual as well." He adds that it is like joining a fitness center, but getting personal instruction each time, by making it a scheduled priority. "When people join a fitness center, many times they have the intention of working out, and fail to do so because they don't have it prioritized on their schedule. Most fitness centers don't really care if you show up or not, most just want your money. With my new system, the trainer does care if you are active, and you have to be accountable to yourself & the trainer in this structure. It is a successful strategy that I need to take in my business to ensure better success with my clients."
He can take up to 3 people in a 30 minute session of exercise that will focus on strength development for each individual, scheduling visits Monday through Friday. As part of the S.T.A.R. System, Karboviak also offers nutritional guidance and unlimited phone consultations to add more personalized support to his clients. He has a specific consultation process, which will determine if the potential client can use the S.T.A.R. System to their full advantage. "I don't want to train someone whose lifestyle can't adapt to the S.T.A.R. System. They have to be willing to take a bold step in the direction for improved fitness, otherwise this strategy won't be ideal for them." To reach Karboviak about this new personal training service, those interested can call 218-686-5417.
He is also using this approach to his 30 minute training sessions for athletes, called Athlete Xpress. The advantages are the same for his athletic clientele, as they can schedule unlimited sessions, Monday through Friday, for a 4 week period. He can work up to 4 athletes within a session in this format.More information can be found at http://star.speeddialcoach.com.
Karboviak's training services are located at the TRF Racquetball & Fitness Center on Hwy 59 South, Thief River Falls, MN.
